How a drink exchange
night works.
A stock market bar event brings changing drink prices to your venue. THE DRINK EXCHANGE gives you the tools to choose the products, set the price limits and show the market on your screens.
Discuss your venueFrom a drinks menu to a live market
Customers follow live prices on the venue's TV screens or their phones. You build an event around selected products and control it from your dashboard. A scheduled or manually triggered market crash adds a temporary price change to the event.
Build your event
Choose an event name and opening and closing times. Select the products you want to include and check their normal prices. Set a minimum, maximum and crash price for each selected product.
Prepare your screens and team
Open the live board on your venue display and check that customers can read the prices. Share the customer mobile link or QR code. Walk your team through the product selection, event timing and close procedure before the night starts.
Run and close the market
Use the dashboard to open the event, follow the live prices and manage crashes. At the end, close the market and check the price restoration status for your POS connection before returning to normal service.
What does your venue need?
- A venue account: submit your venue details for review before activating a subscription.
- A device for the dashboard: prepare and control your event in the browser.
- A venue display: use the live board link to show prices on a screen your customers can see.
- A checked POS setup: confirm your till system, version and number of terminals with us. Connection requirements differ between providers.
- A pre-event check: confirm product mappings, normal prices, price limits and screen output before going live.
Send your venue name, location and POS details to team@drinkexchange.co.uk. We can check the appropriate setup for your venue. A provider logo on the homepage does not confirm that every version or configuration is supported.
You set the price boundaries
Dynamic pricing needs clear limits. Review each product's normal selling price, minimum, maximum and crash price when building an event. Choose limits that suit your product costs and venue; another bar's settings may not suit yours.
The dashboard brings together event timing, selected products, market controls and live price displays. Before running your first event, use the demo to explore these controls and confirm the live workflow for your own POS setup.

Questions venue owners ask
What is a market crash?
A market crash is a temporary event using the crash prices configured for selected products. Crashes can be scheduled or triggered from the event controls. Check the products, prices and hold time before using one.
Can customers see prices on their phones?
Yes. THE DRINK EXCHANGE provides a customer mobile view alongside the venue TV board. Customers can open the venue link or scan its QR code to follow the live prices.
Will it work with our tills?
Compatibility depends on your POS provider and configuration. Tell us which system and version you use, whether you have multiple tills and how the venue is connected. Confirm compatibility before planning your first live event.
How much does it cost?
The venue licence is £200 per month plus VAT for each approved venue. It is a monthly subscription and you can cancel at any time. See the homepage pricing section for the current published price, and confirm any venue-specific setup requirements with us.
